The Fullerhearts Story
A Journey of Compassion
From Child to Changemaker
I’ve always had a passion for helping others since I was little. From a young age I've been going to community service events with my family. At the age of 5, my dad surprised me with my first foundation “Oluwatomisin Foundation” for my birthday. I moved to Nigeria when I was 6 years old and frequently helped people by donating clothes to those in need and volunteering at the “Motherless Babies Orphanage” playing around with kids my age, helping them with their homework, and reading to the babies there. By the age of 9, I moved to a boarding school in England and my school participated in multiple food drives and supply drives to locals and people in Romania and India, where we would donate gifts for Christmas and raise money weekly to rebuild a school for disabled children in India and with all our efforts over the years it was successful. I was one of the many people who donated every 2 weeks to the cause. At 13 I moved to another boarding school in Florida where my passion for helping out only increased.
I started volunteering anywhere I could and some significant events I volunteered at were the United Against Poverty MLK Day Meals, Build-A-Bed Project For Families In Need, Fireflies Local Non-Profit Thrift Store, Wesley Academy Roots to Wings Gala Volunteers and Greater Clermont Cancer Foundation where myself and another student helped set up for a fashion show they were having to raise money. I did all of these and more in just my sophomore year. Now, as an uprising junior, I’m determined and focused on leading my foundation and taking action to make the world a better place because I truly believe that change starts by taking action yourself. My vision for FullerHearts is to provide and raise money for supplies and to put them in better living conditions with access to education and a steady income for people suffering in African countries going through humanitarian crises. As an African who is living overseas, I hate to see my home be destroyed by corrupt leaders and do nothing about it. I plan on being a positive change in people’s lives and making a huge impact on my motherland.
